And I know it is important to love him with all my heart and all my understanding and all my strength, and to love my neighbor as myself. This is more important than to offer all of the burnt offerings and sacrifices required in the law.” (Mark 12:33 NLT)

To love God and people is far more important to God than ANYTHING else we might want to do for or in Him.

Let us focus on receiving the revelation and recognizing the expression of His love in every circumstance, and giving His love at every opportunity!

Loving People

The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.” (Mark 12:31 NLT)

How is loving our neighbor equally important as loving God?
How have you felt toward other people who have honored, blessed or praised your children?

How have you felt toward other people who have dishonored, hurt or spoken evil against your children?

God feels the same way about the way we treat every human being!
Jesus said, the same way you treat them- You treat me

AND he will reward us according to what we have done toward other people.

How to Love God

Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The LORD our God is the one and only LORD. And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ (Mark 12:29-30 NLT)

We must never allow love of self, or family, or things to even come close to competing with our love of God.

This requires faith! Faith and wisdom- the fear of the Lord!
This is the MOST important commandment Jesus said!
What does it take to love Him with all our heart soul, mind and strength?

It is a gift, it is not hard, it's not heavy! We have simply to commit to it and ASK God for grace which provides power and desire to do it!

When we ask believing He will, HE WILL!

Lord, Fill me with GRACE to love You with all my heart soul mind and strength, In Jesus name, Amen!

Giving All

For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on.” (Mark 12:44 NLT)

What are we giving?
What do we have to live on? What are we good at? What do we have to offer?
God is not asking us to give what we can not give. He's not asking us to give anything at all.

He simply waits for the reality of His love to so warm and melt out hearts that we are COMPELLED to love Him back with EVERYTHING we are and ALL we have!

Recognizing Enemy Tactics

Later the leaders sent some Pharisees and supporters of Herod to trap Jesus into saying something for which he could be arrested. “Teacher,” they said, “we know how honest you are. You are impartial and don’t play favorites. You teach the way of God truthfully. Now tell us—is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not? (Mark 12:13-14 NLT)

The Devil's only hope is to get us to agree with him in our hearts believing His lies AND speaking them/ acting on them.
His tactics often come cloaked with flattery to blind us with pride before he hits us with a lie or trick

we must pray for and urgently embrace humility as a safe guard to our very lives!
I can't wait for you to open it!
