Bible Verse

Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin. Romans 7: 25

My First pastor, Sam Smucker from the Worship Center, was strong to teach us, we are a NEW CREATURE in Christ, the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. How then can Paul say, “I am a slave to sin?” Because now, there is a war inside of him. His mind hates to do wrong and resists it and feels sorry about it. But sin in him still conquers his mind at times.

Resolve:

It’s this internal war, that shows us, we no longer belong to the evil one, and we are truly God’s child. If we fear sinning against God, then we do not need to fear about our eternal destiny- our fear and sensitive conscience is proof to us, that Jesus is alive and well inside of us.

The one who should fear is the one who has no fear of sinning against God. This one is in perfect agreement with the sinful nature, proving he is not in a healthy relationship with Christ Jesus.

When we say crude things- does it bother us? When we get angry over nothing, does our conscience condemn us? Rejoice if we feel the pain of waring against sin with in ourselves. It is proof that we belong to Him! We have only to repent and obey!
