Bible Verse

And now you are united with the one who was raised from the dead. As a result, we can produce a harvest of good deeds for God.  Romans 7:4

We are no longer driven to please our old master, the sinful nature. Though we may feel ourselves still a slave to sin, we no longer feel happy and free to obey sin- it disturbs us, it is unfaithfulness to the one we have pledged our lives to.

Feeling upset by our tendency toward sinful thoughts or deeds is proof to us, that we have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer we who live, but Christ in us, the hope of glory.

Now, we live to please Him, because His good heart in us, the mind of Christ given to us, compels us to love and good deeds, so being married to Him, we can produce a harvest of good deeds for God.
