Bible Verse

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. - I John 5:13 NLT

Meditation

This verse is SO powerful and liberating to so many who have believed the message of Jesus, but thought somehow that they could never know for certain whether or not they were headed for heaven or hell.

These verses were written to believers who didn’t know for sure whether they would go to heaven or hell- to tell them- so that they could KNOW- they would go to heaven- and they indeed had eternal life.

Could they lose their ticket to heaven if they stopped caring about God and living according to His word? Yes.

Jesus said, unless you pick up your cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple. As in baptism, we must die to every godless impulse and live our lives in Christ’s spirit.

No one should think he is saved because he believed in Jesus, even if he walks around healing the sick and prophesying in Jesus' name, if he is not dead to sin and alive to God.

How can he know he is saved? His lifestyle will demonstrate God’s compassion for others.

If you have found yourself in the scary position of living a hard-hearted lifestyle, while professing to be a Christian, there is but one message for you.

Repent and you will be saved.

The moment you confess one sin to God, he wipes away ALL your unrighteousness.

Your whole life instantly becomes as though you never, never sinned. But be careful now to live with a humble and compassionate heart. Ask God to help you love like He does, and follow Christ.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Forgive me for every hard-hearted way, and fill me with Your compassion for others. Thank You for Jesus who gave his life so that I could be forgiven. Help me to live in complete surrender to the Holy Spirit and die to every selfish and evil way. Open my understanding and fill me with wisdom so that I will understand Your Word and live in You.

In Jesus' name I ask, Amen.

Bible Verse

Let love be your highest goal!

- I Corinthians 14:1a NLT

Meditation

It’s easy sometimes to slip into fleshly, earthly, natural, or demonic thinking that perverts my goal from the path of love to the path of selfishness.

Sometimes I find myself going along, strong in love and joy and faith and then, somehow, somebody I esteem highly does something selfish, and I fall into step with them, imitating their selfish behavior. It’s catchy!

These eyes must be singularly focused on the Lord Jesus Christ, not any human being He has made. When my eyes are upon him, esteeming Him, and seeing Him in other people, like Paul said, I make it my goal to know you according to the Spirit, not according to the flesh- then my eyes are always seeing love, and real life examples of love poured out.

"He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."

-2 Corinthians 5: 15-17

Jesus said all the law and the prophets are wrapped up in this one command, to LOVE the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourself. He made our lives so simple, so easy. Forget everything else you were told, and live to love God and people with all the wisdom and understanding He has made available to you!

Prayer

Father, You are love! This is my highest goal: to abide in constant communion with you, being transformed by love. Thank you for showing me how much you love and value me through the gift of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice.

Please fill me with wisdom and understanding to love others, while they are yet sinners like You have loved me.

I ask You Father to fill me full of the Holy Spirit and grace to love others deeply and sincerely from the heart with all tenderness and meekness and kindness. In Jesus' name I ask, Amen.

Meditation

The gifts and callings of God are without repentance. He is willing to use us. We need only be willing to believe He will, as we trust in Him.

Part of believing (a big part) is doing

It is given to man to plan his way, but the Lord directs his steps. It's hard to direct a man who is not moving.  What is the gift and call of God upon Your life? Don't sit on your hands doing nothing about it. Make a plan, submit the plan to the Master, and start moving. The doors to your destiny will fly open before you in ways you COULD not have planned or expected - AS you move in response to His call.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, You gave it all for me. You believe in me and have given me gifts and a calling in Christ Jesus. Help me to make a plan in accordance with this purpose by faith, and fill me with grace to steward well this great gift of Your salvation as I develop and exercise the gifts You have given me and walk out the high calling to which You have called me. In Jesus name I ask, Amen.

Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come. - Psalm 71:18

Greetings

It was such a joy to share with you the story of meeting my husband's grandmother! If marrying a six foot tall blond strong Marine full of love for me and God wasn't enough, meeting his grandmother Beppe certainly iced the cake!

It is with the deepest joy I present to you my first published book. This short twenty minute lunch break read will fill you with heavenly revelation, inspiration, and renewed faith and love for the elders in your family!

I encourage you to share it with all your friends, and especially to share it with those you know who care for the elderly.

Prayer

Father, thank You for Your life and love that transform us and all the lives we come in contact with! Thank You for Your life that shone so brightly in Beppe. In Jesus name, Amen.
